Sokoban Tips and Tricks
Small "fix one"

*Ukratko o tipu nivoa*

Often referred to as “fix one” puzzles, these levels present a unique challenge: all boxes but one are already placed on the board. This particular format holds a special appeal, at least to me. Whenever I encounter a “fix one” puzzle, I’m instantly drawn to its allure and can’t resist the urge to solve it.

These puzzles are notoriously difficult. The reason for this increased complexity is likely due to the minimal number of free spaces on the board. With most boxes already in place, the remaining empty spaces become highly coveted, maximizing the difficulty of finding the optimal solution.

To further refine the challenge, we’ll focus on puzzles that adhere to the following criteria:

  • All Boxes Placed, Except One: This core characteristic defines the “fix one” puzzle format.
  • Maximum 60 Boxes: By limiting the puzzle size to medium and small, we ensure a manageable yet intellectually stimulating experience. Larger puzzles can be explored in future challenges.

With these parameters in place, we can delve into the intricacies of these captivating puzzles and strive to master the art of solving them.
